Period-property renovation & turnkey fit-out
A full renovation of a London period property, taken from a scaffolded, failing facade and a stripped interior shell to a restored terrace and finished, styled rooms. Panelled joinery, lacquered doors and layered lighting were delivered turnkey — concept and technical drawings through to on-site coordination and final styling. These are photographs of the completed and in-progress work, not visualisations.
The stucco was blown, the cornices and window arches had lost their profiles, and the render was holding water. Inside, the plan had been subdivided by decades of bad alterations. Every heritage detail either had to be saved or convincingly remade, and the work had to satisfy a conservation officer.
The facade was taken back to sound substrate behind full scaffold, the arches and mouldings re-run to match the surviving originals, and the whole elevation re-rendered in lime so the wall can breathe. Internally the later partitions came out and the rooms were re-proportioned, then rebuilt in panelling and lacquered joinery so new work reads as part of the house rather than an apology for it.
A period house that keeps its street and its cornices, and works like a modern family home behind them.
Warm recessed downlights kept off the panelling faces, picture lights over the art, and chandeliers restored to the original ceiling roses.
