Luxury home interior — residential turnkey fit-out
Double-height open-plan villa living space designed for a high-end residential client in Dubai. The concept maximises natural light, creates a dramatic focal wall, and integrates living and dining zones into one refined, timeless environment — consistent with the studio’s approach to comfortable, functional, investment-grade homes.
A double-height volume flatters photographs and punishes the people who live in it: sound carries, the upper wall reads as dead space, and furniture that suits the ceiling height overwhelms the floor. The brief also asked for living and dining to share one room without either feeling like an afterthought.
A single book-matched marble slab was run the full height of the void, so the volume finally has something to be tall for. Living and dining were then set at ninety degrees around it and separated by level changes and rugs rather than walls, which keeps the sightlines open while giving each zone its own centre of gravity.
A family home that photographs like a showpiece but works on an ordinary Tuesday evening — and holds its value as an asset.
Layered: a sculptural brass ring chandelier anchors the void, concealed cove lighting washes the marble at night, and the linear fire provides the low, warm light the room settles into after dark.
